Woodgrove Care Home, part of Four Seasons Health Care, is a purpose built home located in a quiet suburb in Lisburn. I have supported Care Homes for over 6 years and previously worked in Leisure and HR. My role is to effectively manage the occupancy levels of the home and build positive relationships with residents, families and external contacts in the community. I work closely with the marketing department and our lifestyles team to ensure our services are promoted to reflect the excellent care and support we provide.

Originally from Vancouver Island, Linnette Brockenborough brings to Trillium Communities a vast array of administrative experience, worked in the medical/long-term care, legal and manufacturing industries. She currently holds degrees in business administration and corporate legal procedure. I am immensely grateful for the care and affection the Woodgrove team so kindly and gently dedicated to my mom.

My main philosophy is that every resident should have the right to choose and the communication between the residents and my team is extremely important, that way we understand their needs. Every week I offer a new menu, in which I include a new meal which is by the wishes of our residents. My hobby is dancing, but the thing I most love doing is spending time with my husband and my two boys.

The monthly rental for a single room is R24313 per month and for a premium room is R29000 per month. Woodgrove has 23 bedsitters offering seniors assisted living on a Life Rights basis. The monthly levy includes caring and three meals a day. We currently have one bedsitter available, read more here. I started working at Woodland Grove in July 2016. The thought of taking care of the elderly and my passion for food encouraged me to start working in a care home.

When I began my role at Oakland Care, I immediately loved the warm, friendly atmosphere of the home and the buzz of the activities taking place in the Bistro. I have enjoyed every minute since and feel every day that I am coming to my second home, with that in mind I strive to add quality and joy to everything the home provides. A varied choice of lifestyle activities and outings delivered by our dedicated Lifestyles team.
The residents are our extended family who we love to nurture and share daily life with whilst keeping them safe and well. The 172 independent living units are offered on an extremely advantageous life rights basis, and range in size from 50 to 200 m². The 9 different size options ensure there is a unit to suit every lifestyle and pets are welcome. There are 16 beds in the frail care facility, where an additional 3 beds are reserved for respite care for Life Right Holders.
The Community Centre is used for meetings and a range of dynamic social activities including watching sports on the big screen. The Library area is a space of tranquillity in which there are comfy couches to enjoy the books or complete a puzzle. Woodgrove Retirement Village offers seniors all the living options. Our fully qualified nursing team delivers the highest quality nursing care 24 hours-a-day to those who need it.
